Billy Viscarra's wife receives criticism for expressing her opinion about Carlos Lampe

Celita Guanella is the beautiful wife of The Strongest's goalkeeper, Billy Viscarra, and she doesn't hold back. In her TikTok Lives, the blonde speaks her mind without reservation.

However, this time, criticism was swift when she said, "Carlos Lampe is a top-notch goalkeeper for Bolívar, and I think they don't appreciate him. I hope he joins a team ten times bigger than Bolívar so they realize what they've lost."

But that wasn't all, as she continued and stated that the same thing happened to her husband. "It's the same with Billy; people enter my Live and comment, 'Please, Billy, come back to Bolívar,' but no, my love," she said.

Chela, as she is affectionately called, asserted that both she and her husband have a great friendship with Carlos Lampe.

The blonde's statements triggered famous haters to do their thing.

"Today I woke up and saw that I'm going viral. There are people telling me that I know nothing about football and that I should go cook. First, it's true that I know nothing about football; I never claimed to be a football expert. Second, I don't know how to cook either (laughs)," she began her video to respond to those who attacked her.

She also mentioned that she doesn't understand why people give so much importance to what she says on her TikTok. "I mean, if they say I'm ridiculous, maintained, ignorant about football, and everything they're saying, why does my opinion bother them?" she said.

Celita, with laughter, shared that they made her feel important and that she decides how to react to situations like this. She says she chooses to laugh it off. "You decided to give so much weight to my opinion; it's your decision," she concluded.

Viscarra's wife has more than 26,000 followers on her TikTok account and has shown that she speaks her mind, regardless of what others may say.

Military Operation Uncovers Firearm at Residence of Renowned Footballer (Bryan Angulo)

During a military operation conducted on the afternoon of Saturday, January 13, in the Santiago de Roldós cooperative, located to the south of the city, a house was raided, revealing a closed-circuit surveillance system. According to the officer in charge, this system was intended to monitor the area and alert criminal groups to any law enforcement incursion.

The operation was carried out discreetly, observed by curious neighbors who hesitated to enter their homes despite the armed personnel's persistent requests.

Inside the residence, a woman was also found in possession of a firearm and subsequently arrested. The officer explained that the detained individual claimed to have rented the house just two days prior and could not justify the presence of the pistol on the property. After completing the operation, the woman was transported in a bus under military custody to a nearby barracks.

Neighbors asserted that the house belongs to the footballer Brayan Angulo, currently playing for The Strongest club in Bolivia. Parked outside the residence was a luxury off-road vehicle, a Chevrolet Suburban with no plates and of Mexican origin.

An elderly man approached the site of the raid, expressing indignation. He identified himself as the footballer's grandfather and stated that if there was a firearm in the residence, it was for personal security, not due to connections with criminal groups. "Everything my grandson has achieved is thanks to football, not through anything illegal," he affirmed.

At her hotel Salqui, Ines Quispe says she will return to Tigre in two years

The former president of The Strongest reappeared and said that she will continue the legacy of César Salinas (+).

What am I going to take away from this life? He asks himself. "Nothing," she answers. That's why Inés Quispe de Salinas is convinced: "In about two years I will return (to Tigre) because it's what I like". Although she is saddened by her club's current situation, the former president of The Strongest is motivated "because I'm a die-hard stronguista". At a party organized by her children - at her hotel Salqui Resort Mecapaca - the businesswoman says she wants to continue the soccer legacy of her husband César Salinas (+).

"He was in charge of making me like the sport and the truth is that I will return, but not now. In two years it is in my plans to return", she reinforces. Flower petals cover almost all her hair.  She is the queen of her party. "This is a surprise my children made for me. They gave me the surprise of my life," she laughs.

The band Veneno plays music to her dialogue.  "The truth is that I left the institution for health reasons", she explains while listening: "People say that I am a stronguista at heart...".

For a year and two months, Quispe (April 19, 1964) has been following his Tigre from the stands. "First there was my health and now I feel fine, but I always have some treatments to comply with and then I'll be back," she insists.

Quispe is the first female president (July 2019-February 2021) in the history of the dean club of Bolivian professional soccer.

"In this time, the club has changed a lot and time will be in charge of judging the people who did things in a bad way", he protests, remembering that "I didn't even receive an invitation for Tigre's anniversary (April 8). It is a very unfortunate situation I am going through, not economically, but emotionally because the club I love did not even give me an invitation. But well... that's the least of it. I will continue to be a stronguista to death and I will finish with that. I left so that they manage well and continue to do things well. There were some tax debts, but there were not many anymore. It was a matter of complying a little more and keep going forward".

Elections in Tigre

"There should be elections at the club. Two months ago or last year I went to visit the president (of the Bolivian Football Federation) Fernando Costa to ask him to hold elections in the club because that would be ideal", reveals the businesswoman who at the end of last year finalized the purchase of the Hotel Andino, from the leader of Unidad Demócrata (UD) Samuel Doria Medina.

The former head of Tigre explained that her term of office "expired in November last year. So, now there should be elections in the institution, as it should be, but they have liked the chair, the power.... I don't know how far it will take them".

Last year he interrupted his leadership career that began in 2014, in the administrative section of the club.

Will he run in the elections?

"No, two years from now because I have several things pending because I know how to measure my times, my urgencies and then I will gladly do it," he responds to the query of journalist Victor Hugo Mendoza, of the DXTV program. "God willing, I will come back because I like soccer, so I will come back", he says goodbye to return to the party with approximately 300 guests.

Conmebol Libertadores: The Strongest 2 - 1 Universidad Catolica de Ecuador, The Strongest Qualifies

With a saving goal by Uruguayan Rodrigo Amaral, The Strongest advanced to the group stage of the 2022 Copa Libertadores by beating Ecuador's Universidad Católica 2-1 in La Paz, in the second leg of the third round of the continental tournament.

Enrique Triverio opened the scoring for the home side after 2 minutes and Ismael Díaz equalized for Católica after 7 minutes in a match played at the Hernando Siles stadium in La Paz. The talented Rodrigo Amaral gave the victory to the 'Tigre de Achumani' in the 83rd minute.

The series ended 2-1 in favor of The Strongest, as the first leg was a scoreless draw in Quito. Universidad Católica of Ecuador will go on to play in the group stage of the Copa Sudamericana.

The match kicked off for The Strongest with a goal scored by Enrique Triverio after connecting with a rebound in the Ecuadorian box following a cross from the right.

The home side's goal was a spur for the visitors to raise their game based on speed. The match gained in intensity. So much so that in the seventh minute, Panama's Ismael Diaz took advantage of a lapse of concentration by the Bolivian defense to score the equalizer.

The game became back and forth and both teams began to reach the opponent's goal with a permanent sense of danger. Before the 20th minute, the two scorers again had opportunities to increase the score.

The Ecuadorians were more ductile in the management of the soccer circuits, which provided greater depth to their game, particularly when the attackers established partnerships. In contrast, the Aurinegros relied more on the performance of individuals such as Henry Vaca, who did not shine tonight.

As the minutes passed, the Ecuadorians lost precision, leaving the locals to re-establish a modest dominance and appeal to long distance shots.

The ball moved away from the goals and play became centralized in the midfield. In the 40th minute, Triverio again had another chance to score, but it was well saved by goalkeeper José Cárdenas.

The second half repeated the concepts of intensity and balance between the two teams, although with the lively desire to avoid the penalty spot.

The 'camarata' showed their experience in the defensive arts and managed to box in the locals, who appeared to be short of ideas. With the clock running down, The Strongest insisted with long distance shots.

Gradually, the Ecuadorians were losing lucidity to reach Guillermo Vizcarra's goal.

Although in a disorganized way, The Strongest looked for the victory and when the match was entering the final stretch, Rodrigo Amaral scored the celebrated goal in the 83rd minute that gave the popular team from La Paz the qualification.

El Tigre goes for the group stage and US$ 3 MM in "the match of the year".

The atigrados have the advantage of the 0-0 draw they achieved in the first leg in Quito. Despite this, the coaches agreed that the key is open. The Catholics closed practice in Tembladerani yesterday.

The Strongest players described tonight's match against Universidad Católica of Ecuador at the Hernando Siles stadium as "the match of the year" (20:30), in which the Achumani team will be looking for the three million dollar prize for entering the group stage of the Copa Libertadores.

To achieve their objective, the atigrados need a victory, no matter the score, after the first leg, played last week in Quito, they drew 0-0.

The Ecuadorians have the same chances, as they are obliged to win, since a draw will force the match to be decided by penalty kicks.

The Achumani tigers assured that they are focused on the duel despite the defeat in the local tournament against Bolívar, their traditional rival, and are only thinking about getting the three points.

Coach Cristian Díaz will not be able to count on two important players, Cristian Esparza and Martín Prost, both due to expulsion. Their replacements will be Henry Vaca and Jaime Arrascaita. In addition, according to what was seen at the end of training sessions, Diego Wayar will be used as right fullback, as he did in the rematch of the previous phase against Plaza Colonia.

"The key is open... We know their strengths and weaknesses, so we will try to play a great game in search of qualification. We are facing a great team, we must not get our message and our emotional preparation wrong," said the Argentine coach at a press conference yesterday.

He pointed out that his side has to keep its feet on the ground. "We are facing a very good and very nice opportunity for the club in the institutional and economic issue," he remarked.

The paceños are concentrated in their complex in the South zone of La Paz and the day before they closed their preparations.

The Catholic team arrived in the country on Monday night and the day before had the opportunity to work at the Bolivar club's field in Tembladerani.

"A couple of players have yet to be defined.... We have seen the classic and the matches played against Plaza Colonia. We know that it will be a difficult match against a quality team", said coach Miguel Rondelli.

He considers that in spite of the casualties that the atigrados suffered, the local team has a team to respect.

"We will play our game, the key is open. I don't think they will attack from the start because they know that we are dangerous on the counter-attack", said the coach from Rio de Janeiro.

The Ecuadorian absentees are Darwin Cuero and José Carabalí, both ended up with injuries after the duel at the Atahualpa stadium, but the goalkeeper arrived in Bolivia.

Rodrigo Amaral of The Strongest may be suspended from six months to one calendar year.

The report of the referee Juan Nelio García, who officiated the clásico paceño, states that he sent him off for assaulting the second assistant linesman.

Rodrigo Amaral, who has become The Strongest's most important reinforcement so far this season, being a key player in both the Apertura Professional Division tournament and Copa Libertadores matches, is at risk of suffering a harsh sanction.

The Uruguayan midfielder was sent off in the clásico paceño, according to the report of the referee Juan Nelio García, who reported that the player assaulted the second line assistant (Edwin Paredes).

The aggression allegedly took place after Bolívar's 1-0 win over The Strongest on Monday night at the Hernando Siles stadium in La Paz.

According to the Disciplinary Code of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF), article 73, on aggressions to match officials, states: "The player who was expelled from the field of play for actually and by any means assaulting the match officials will be sanctioned with a suspension of six (6) months to one (1) calendar year provided that the act did not cause physical harm or impediment to the affected player.

Said article adds that "if the aggression causes serious physical harm and impediment to the victim, the sanction shall be increased to two (2) calendar years. If the aggression causes very serious physical harm and impediment to the victim or consists of repeated blows with fists, kicks, headbutts or the use of any instrument, the sanction will be definitive.

In the images of the Tigo Sports broadcast, it can be seen that Amaral first gave a push from behind to the fourth official and then another push from the front, after which he approached and confronted the assistant referee.

At the moment of leaving the melee, the Uruguayan also makes gestures as if to imply that he ran money in the classic.

Article 73 also clarifies other points regarding aggressions against soccer match officials: "These sanctions shall also apply to aggressions made outside the field of play, at halftime or at the conclusion of a soccer match, without the aggressor's expulsion being necessary for this purpose. Attempted or unsuccessful aggression shall be punished with a one to three month suspension".

Pato Rodríguez to Vaca: At his age I already knew how much the Sudamericana and the Recopa weighed

The academic assured that he did not "canchereó" to the Aurinegros and that the 10 of The Strongest made those comments because he lost.

The day after the Bolivian superclásico, the repercussions do not stop. This Tuesday, Patricio Rodríguez responded to the comments of the Gualdinegro 10 Henry Vaca, who after his team's loss to Bolívar told the academic that "you have to cancherear in the Copa".

"At his age, I already knew how much the Copa Sudamericana and the Recopa weighed, both of them. I still don't think he played neither, or I don't know because I have no idea. That's what you have to respect," said Pato, in contact with Futbolmania.

On Monday night, Rodriguez assisted Roberto Carlos Fernandez to score the only goal of the match. He took the reins of his team and was the most influential player of the match.

The dribbles and dribbles of the former Independiente de Avellaneda player were a source of anger for the Atigrados, especially Vaca, who went to look for the Argentine after the final whistle.

On his way out of the Siles, the former Oriente Petrolero player said that Pato should "cancherear" in the Copa Libertadores, a competition from which Bolívar was eliminated in the second round.

"I think he should play in the Copa Libertadores. Pato Rodriguez did not touch the ball in the Libertadores and now he comes to throw rabonas, we should not be shitty as he was today," said Vaca.

In response, Rodríguez assured that the atigrado player made those comments because he lost.

"I understand that journalism takes advantage to grab a guy who is angry because he lost, with not many resources to declare and ends up saying what he said," said the also former teammate of Neymar, in Santos of Brazil.

Pato assured that the rabonas are part of the resources he uses on the field and that they can go well, as on the night of the superclassic, or badly as it happened against Universitario de Vinto, but that does not mean that he has "canchereado" the rival.

"Cancherear in soccer is when you are winning 4-0, you take it to the corner and you start to boludear and I never did that at any time (...). Respect in soccer, you have to respect, at his age I knew how much the Sudamericana and the Recopa weighed in my hands, you have to respect that", said the midfielder of the Academy.

La Paz Clasico: The Strongest 0 - 1 Bolivar

The atigrados pressed in the end. They were denied a penalty and came close to equalizing.

Bolivia's superclassic went to Bolivar. La Academia defeated The Strongest 1-0 last night at the Hernando Siles stadium. They returned to the top of the standings in the B series and ended a three-game drought without beating their traditional rival.

It was an intense, tough match, with a permissive referee who allowed too many hits, in addition to a dubious play at the end that could have changed the history of the game.

El Tigre did not hold anything back, they gave their soccer especially in the second half, which helped the show.

The first half belonged to Bolívar. The light blue team had control of the ball, took the initiative and had the clearest options to make the difference.

Patricio Rodriguez was the driver of the Academy, caused more than one headache with his skill and even got the atigrados off their feet.

The Aurinegros had a glimpse of the rival goal after five minutes, but it was not because of an elaborate play, but because of a complication by Yomar Rocha who played back to Rubén Cordano. The goalkeeper hesitated and put his goal at risk.

Two minutes later, Leonel Justiniano filtered a pass to Bruno Savio, the Brazilian played to Francisco da Costa who shot and smashed the ball against Jhohan Gutiérrez's post.

The Celestes opted for a showy game, tried to come out with the ball under control and the crosses made the home team's last line a lot of work.

At 16', the Tigre arrived with a free kick. Fernando Saucedo took the cross and Prost came close to scoring when Cordano failed to get out of the way.

At 33', Gabriel Villamil came out playing with Savio, crossed for Da Costa, but the Brazilian collided with the goalkeeper.

Five minutes later came the first goal. In a free kick, Rodriguez played with Fernandez who took a shot that beat the goalkeeper of the Decano (1-0).

The Achumani team tried to wake up and take advantage of Cordano's doubts, but without results.

The Celeste's supremacy continued on the field, and the second could have come at 46' in another play, but Rodriguez's shot crashed into the left-hand wall.

In the second half, the Atigrados came out more determined, with Henry Vaca in the 53rd and 55th minutes, but the equalizer was not forthcoming.

The Academy regained control of the game in minute 57 when Rodríguez tried a shot from half distance. A minute later, Justiniano tried to score but the post said no to his effort. At 62' it was Savio's turn and at 64' Fernández came close to the second goal.

At 77', Tigre loosened their grip and came close to equalizing. Jaime Arrascaita made a pass to Trivero, but Cordano saved it.

At 80', Vaca made a great individual play and five minutes later, after another shot by the midfielder, Triverio was stopped by Martins; it was a penalty, but the referee did not take it.

In the end, the Academia ended up defending and could have equalized, but the "atigrados" were unable to score.

The Strongest - Bolívar, with opposite realities

The atigrados are giving priority to the Copa Libertadores and will field an alternate team for the 289th superclásico.

The Strongest and Bolívar will face each other tonight (19:00) in Bolivia's 289th superclassic with different realities. El Tigre can even afford the luxury of losing on this day and their fans will be patient, as the acid test will be on Thursday for the Copa Libertadores. On the other hand, for the Academia it is win or win because they have had more rest, will play with their full starting line-up and will try to win a derby after more than two years.

It is no secret that the atigrados are focused on the rematch with Universidad Católica of Ecuador on Thursday and on the million-dollar income (4,100,000 dollars) that they will get if they reach the group stage, an amount that could save the budget that their management has planned for the rest of the year.

The sky-blue team has the heavy burden of getting a victory on its shoulders, since its supporters were not satisfied with the elimination of the team in phase 2 of the Copa Libertadores and its return to the local competition was not as desired because it comes from a draw with Real Tomayapo to one goal per side, in Tarija.

Both teams are second in their respective groups. The Aurinegros accumulate 11 points in series A and the Bolivaristas 10 in group B. Whichever team wins will have regained first place and will be in a strong position to qualify for the final phase of the Apertura.

Who is the favorite?

When it comes to this kind of match, all previous encounters are left aside, since the famous phrase "in the classic there are no favorites" takes on its value and there are plenty of examples in the extensive history of the traditional clash, although it can be mentioned that on this occasion the candidate to win is Bolivar.

The sky-blue team did not move during the whole week in La Paz and they are focused only on the local competition. Coach Antonio Carlos Zago has his entire first-team squad at his disposal, while the atigrados will field an alternate team as their priority is the international tournament.

The teams

As Martín Prost and Cristian Esparza were expelled and have pending suspension in the Copa, both will lead the attack of the Tigre de Achumani. Then the changes that DT Cristian Díaz will make will be in all sectors, even in the goal where Johan Gutiérrez may appear in place of Guillermo Viscarra who is not in the fullness of his conditions due to a muscular contracture.

In Bolívar, the only doubt is that of Diego Bejarano, who is suffering from fatigue in one of his legs. If the player from Santa Cruz does not recover, his place could be taken by youth player Yomar Rocha, who would occupy the U-20 place.

The practice sessions of the classic rivals were different. The Strongest did it yesterday morning at its complex in the Achumani area and at the end the players talked to the press. Bolivar went to Villa el Sol, "behind closed doors", and without contact with the media.

Cañada Strongest - Great Bolivian victory in the Chaco War

A large number of players, members and directors of The Strongest club fought during the war with Paraguay between 1932 and 1935. By 1933, 600 members of this very paceñísima institution were on the battle front. At the outbreak of the Chaco War, in July 1932, the championship of La Paz Football Association was at the end of its 1st. The Strongest was one point behind in 2nd place, so the Central Council of the association decided to suspend the championship and award the year's title to Bolívar and the sub-championship to The Strongest, which, like the other institutions, joined the national effort, sending players, members and directors to the battle front. By 1933, The Strongest club had more than 1,500 members, including ladies, gentlemen, youth and children.

Of these, 600 left for the sands of Chaco, joining the First Army Corps. They did so not in auxiliary services, but in the front line. Later they would continue to join in similar numbers until the cessation of hostilities. The publication Semana Gráfica, in issue number 24 (April 8, 1933), made a tribute to The Strongest on the occasion of its Silver Jubilee, highlighting how the club contributed to the war campaign with the human support of directors, players, fans, and partners.

In the Secretariat of The Strongest club located in Cólon and Comercio streets, living the moment with singular patriotism, it was inaugurated, 'La correspondencia del soldado', to collaborate with prisoners of war and relatives of officers and soldiers. - 89- -It was headed by Don Benito Sagárnaga, a singular man and outstanding stronguista.

In that sense, according to his records, it can be pointed out that up to July 1933, between letters and cards, more than 450 requests had been dispatched. These, as can be understood, came from people unable to do so personally, and wishing to inquire about the health or whereabouts of their sons, brothers or husbands who were in the line of fire. Benito pointed out that they did it absolutely free of charge, providing, in addition, paper and obituaries that bore our emblem, splitting up certificates and requests to the General Staff, etc.

In an interview for La Semana Gráfica, made by the correspondent Chasqui, Benito Sagárnaga said very enthusiastically: "Thousands of letters have been sent to date and our radius of action does not only include the Chaco; we also maintain our correspondence to the prisoners held by Paraguay. These letters, like all of them, bear our seal. You can see the satisfaction that this emblem must give to the stronguista in foreign lands". The purpose of the soldier's correspondence was also to help the wounded and sick.

To this work was added the fundraising that was done among the affiliates, organizing several kermes and social activities to collect funds, which were later destined to help the Bolivian combatants.

Among the outstanding atigrados players, members and directors who marched to the conflict were Captain Víctor Hugo Estrada Cárdenas and Lieutenant José Rosendo Bullaín, who was flag bearer and senior brigadier of the Military College, whose soccer career is similar to Estrada's. Meanwhile, Colonel Luis Emilio Aguirre was the first fallen in Boquerón. Lieutenant Lucio Vila was also another stronguista fallen in the battlefields. Lieutenant Colonel José Ayoroa, considered one of the best military men the Army ever had, stood out. They were joined by Carlos Constantino Noya and second lieutenant Carlos Zalles Guerra, a member of The Strongest who fell in combat. The same fate befell Adrián Murguía Vargas and Pedro Escalante, distinguished stronguistas.

Among the names that also stand out is that of Emilio Estrada, captain of the first division soccer team. Also not to be forgotten are Second Lieutenant Severo Medrano, Lieutenant Luis Peña, Luis Daza Aparicio, Hugo Gamarra, Alfredo Pascoe, Lisímaco Gutiérrez, Julio Zuazo Quintanilla, Adolfo Díaz Romero, Gerardo Peláez, José Toro, Hugo Alípaz, Nils Galdo, Luis Cornejo and Renato Sainz. Also mentioned are the surnames Llanos, Morales, Medina, Muñoz, Montoya, Alarcón and Alborta Rada. After the cessation of hostilities, the citizens of La Paz gradually returned to their daily activities.

The Government of the time rewarded The Strongest Club with the land located between Illimani Avenue and Yungas Street in the Santa Barbará neighborhood, where the old La Paz Bullring used to stand. This Sports Complex, the first of its kind in the country, was named after its mentor Don Gustavo Carlos Otero, where the Antonio Asbun Soccer School of our children's divisions is currently located.

In 1935, the Football Association of La Paz (AFLP) quickly organized the tournament of the year, and the club The Strongest, with a new team, won the first post-war soccer crown, among nine participants. After several decades, the club later incorporated notable players of Paraguayan origin into its ranks, some of whom even adopted Bolivian nationality and played for the national team, such as Luis Galarza, Wilfrido Cañellas, Eligio Martínez, Julián Jiménez, Miguel Gariazú and Pablo Escobar.

The Strongest is not just another sports club, but above all, a school of civility, altruism and patriotism where many generations of young people have been molded physically, spiritually and morally.

Club The Strongest - Viloco Tragedy

It was 1969, the Board of Directors presided by Don José Luis de Aranguren, had made as in many other occasions a real effort to form a team of soccer players to the stature of the Club's history; this is how this objective was achieved; the same that was in competition in the local competition.

The Strongest received an invitation from the Asociación Cruceña de Futbol who organized an international quadrangular championship in homage to the anniversary of the Department of Santa Cruz. The Strongest left for Santa Cruz with its entire starting line-up, with the exception of captain Rolando Vargas and Paraguayan Luis Gini, who was injured, as well as Marco Antonio Velasco from Santa Cruz, who was also seriously injured twenty days before the trip.

Alberto Alarcón; as Manager and Delegate, Mr. José Ayllon, the Technical Director, Professor Eustaquio Ortuño, and the players: goalkeepers: Armando Angelacio, and Orlando Cáceres; defenders: Hernán Andretta, Juan Iriondo, Miguel Angel Porta, Jorge Tapia, Julio Alberto Díaz and Oscar Guzmán; midfield: Héctor Marchetti, Oscar Flores, and Raúl Farfán; attackers: Diógenes Torrico, Fernando Duran, Osvaldo Franco, Eduardo Agustín Arrigó, Germán Alcázar, and Ernesto Villegas; utility player: Felipe Aguilar. Once the participation in this tournament was completed, The Strongest started its return from Santa Cruz, on Friday 26th, at 2:10 p.m. it boarded the Douglas DC-6B ship of the LAB. - 92 -At 3:30 p.m., the operators of the Trompillo airport notified the Cochabamba and La Paz airports of the loss of contact with the aircraft, which led to the presumption of a serious emergency and later became a real national tragedy with the loss of 74 lives, including well-known national personalities and the entire delegation of The Strongest, except General Alberto Alarcón who for personal reasons had decided to stay in Santa Cruz.

The grief and pain took hold not only of the Strongest family, but of the people and the country in general, since the news of the crash of the ship in the summits of Viloco, in the Andes Mountains, sowed mourning throughout the national territory.

After the pain of friends and strangers, and after the tributes to our "Martyrs of Viloco", as they have been declared, came the process and the arduous task of raising a new team from the ashes of this tragedy; For this purpose, national and international solidarity was received, from various parts of South America came samples of solidarity from various clubs, offering their teams to act for free for the benefit of the club The Strongest, as well as the Argentine clubs Boca Juniors and River Plate, which were made available to the "atigrados" and whose presidents came in person to the city of La Paz.

Other encouraging signs of solidarity came from the Bolivian Football Federation, the South American Confederation and FIFA, as well as clubs from the continent. From that moment on, the task of reviving and rebuilding The Strongest was the work of many people and institutions. A high-level commission was formed to make possible the offers of collaboration from Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima, Rio de Janeiro, Asuncion, etc.

Boca Juniors contributed with two excellent youth players Romerito and Bastida. The president of the South American Football Confederation, Teofilo Salinas, donated twenty thousand US dollars; The President of the Brazilian Sports Confederation, Joao Havelange, organized the Carioca classic: Flamengo vs Fluminense, whose proceeds benefited The Strongest, even the classic rival Bolivar gave its most important players and thus formed the team called "The Strongest Symbol" which would tour the interior of the country and also abroad in order to raise funds for the recovery of the Aurinegra.

Thus, like the Phoenix Bird, The Strongest rises from the ashes of adversity, but always honoring its "Martyrs of Viloco" and all those who showed us the way and who are no longer with us today, to reach the hundred and two luminous years and stronger than ever.

Club The Strongest - History

Since the appearance in 1899 of the first soccer club in La Paz, "La Paz Football Club", which two years later became the "Bolivian Rangers FC" and its great rival of the time "The Thunders FC" (1902), a large number of clubs burst into the soccer firmament of the city, Clubs of different types appeared and disappeared with great ease, their life was so ephemeral that very few made it to the second decade of soccer in La Paz and even less to the third, which is why a group of boys, were determined to found a really strong club, "the strongest" of the time and that was imperishable in time.

They held their meetings in a nice kiosk located in the Plaza Murillo, some of the young men already had experience in founding and organizing clubs, as they had founded a few years before the Victory Club, the Club 20 de Octubre and the Dread Club.

On the afternoon of April 8, 1908, they decided to found the dreamed club and that same night, in the house of Alberto Requena Crespo, located on the corner of Buenaventura Bueno and Juan de la Riva streets, the pleasing name of Strong Football Club was born: Strong Football Club.

A few days later, at the home of Francisco Kochiche Guachalla's CLUB THE STRONGEST - 82 - the boys reconsidered the name and agreed that Strong was not strong enough... we said! - "the strongest". There came the voice of Victor Manuel Franco who studied English to add the article "The" and Ramon "Pachacha" Gonzales to add to Strong the superlative "est" and then the name sounded strong and beautiful: "The Strongest Football Club" which in Spanish means "the strongest soccer club".

The founders were: José López Villamil, Alberto Requena, Víctor Franco, Francisco Guachalla, Juancho González, Alberto Tavel, Adrián Deheza, Felipe González, Armando Elio, Luis Rivera, Isaac González, Luis Felipe Dick, Isaac Alípaz".

In an extensive note made to one of the founders on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the club, in the morning paper El Diario, Don Hugo Alípaz, pointed out that, Luis Felipe Dick presided over the first meeting for the founding of the club, the honor of the first official presidency falling on José López Villamil.

The first sessions were held in a kiosk in the Plaza Murillo and sometimes on a bench in the Paseo de El Prado. Later the meetings were held in the house of "Khochichi" Guachalla, in the house of "Pachacha" González or in the Montes' residence.

At the beginning only football was practiced, but later the club's scope was expanded to include basketball, tennis, swimming, among others. Alípaz mentioned in the interview that: "our first field (court) was the 'pampita de la Tejería' behind the Church of San Pedro, playing with a ball made with a cow's bladder. When the regulation leather balls appeared, we played on the field on Arce Avenue," which the Ernst brothers had set up on their father's farm....

The first amateur match for the Club was against Nimbles Sport Association, a team founded in 1909, which was undoubtedly our fiercest rival in this early period.

From the moment The Strongest played its final match to become champion of the first Cup tournament played in Bolivia in 1911, organized by the Prefecture of the Department of La Paz, in which it defeated by 3 goals to 1 its great rival of the time, the Nimbles Sport Association, it was constantly linked with victories, logically its rich history is also tinged with falls, - 83 - but undoubtedly the fans have more reasons to celebrate and feel proud to belong to the largest sports institution in the country, through these more than one hundred years of rich sports and social history, written in letters:

"GOLD AND BLACK".

Association football is governed internationally by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA; French: Fédération Internationale de Football Association), which organizes World Cups for both men and women.
